Bad Swaybar End Links?

Has anyone had any trouble with these? I am having an issue up front on the right hand side and was told I might have bad ones. Is there something specific I should look for if I jack the car up and take a look?

Thanks much

What is wrong with them? If they are making a clunking noise you can remove the link on one side and take it for a spin. If the noise is gone then you probably have found your problem.

I wouldn't drive without them on...

The stock end links are very weak so I wouldn't be surprised if these became an issue. Get some better ones;

I've replaced sway bar links on two of my other cars with greasable links from Moog. No more rattle and they're twice as thick. Just have to remember to grease them.

You can drive without the sway bar, just don't go hitting any road courses, take turns slower.

It is common for the older 10-12 front end links to bend and break, so I wouldn't doubt that being the issue.

As others have said, you can drive without the sway bar, but it will have a ton of body roll. Just don't get crazy and you should be fine until you get the links replaced.

Best regards,

Tyler

My motto is: "If you have to replace, upgrade". BMR and Detroit speed both offer good options.

BMR part # ELK005
Detroit speed part # 031411

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler
