Guess what?

Maybe it's not the end links. I was under the back having a look around at the sway bar, and lookee here... cracked bushing on the sway bar mount. I wonder if that might be what is making my clunking noises.

That split is cut in the bushing so it can be installed on the sway bar.. If that isn't bolted to the sub frame that would be your issue.

In all seriousness I would go back through everything and make sure everything is tight. I would use blue or red loctite on the bushing brackets as well.

Kind regards,

Well that clears that up - thanks Jordan. Didn't see the split on the other side but I am sure you're right and it's there too, just hidden.

Don't know what to do - I already had everything tight as it could be. I'm back to square one.

Do these need some kind of lubrication perhaps inside the bushing?

Just asking to be sure- but I'm guessing you loosened the locking nuts while removing those endlinks.

Usually when set up for use, the ends are oriented about a 1/4 turn away from each other and locked in place. If the ends are able to rotate, it could be causing your noise.

Is that just road grime or rust? I live in Chicago where they salt the roads like its going out of style so I hope that they are resistant to oxidizing.

Pretty sure it's just lubricant plus dirt. Will let you know for sure tonight.

Shhhhhoooo. Scared me for a sec. I just ordered the Pfadt Stage 4 Package and was. Little worried as this is going on my daily driver in Chicago. On a side note you mentioned it was lubricant. You lube those? Are you suppose too?

Problem solved

I took my end links off and sent them back to Pfadt, who found some play in the bronze lower rod end and in one of the upper rod ends. They sent them back with these parts replaced and I put 'em back on yesterday. Super quiet. Problem solved.

Great customer service!
