Awesome, great pic....Engine bay seems to not be too cramped, at least for the V6..I also don't see a spot for the battery, so it might be in the trunk...yay

It's Black

Thumbs up

one thing i see under the hood that i like is the positive + battery terminal to jump the battery instead of the battery which means that the battery is in the trunk like it is in the G8, i love it!

So, in the germany vid alot of folks were saying that the car with the small wheel/tires was still a V-8 because of the exaust sound. I wonder if them folks were fooled by a V-6. Interesting.

My bad I was only looking at the pic of the engine in hood where you can see the reflection. The other pictures didn't show up the first time..lol.. Just look at the top pic and you'll see that it is hard to make out the color, and if you had to guess, you probably would guess a greyish color..

I figured the G8 engine would make its way into the V6 Camaro..

I guess we know that the scoop is not functional, at least on this car.

I think the V6 is a pretty large engine (outside dimensions). It may be deceptive.

all the posted motor pics (on the car and off) have that vacuum line. tho on the caddy version (not the cutaway one) it appears to be a soft line (rubber/plastic) instead of a hard (metal) line.

which all that appears to be is a breather/vacuum line to the valve covers to remove gasses and help create oil press flowing to the heads

Hower, one unrelated thing that's cool to see is that the hood is NOT supported by a prop-rod! Cool! I like that! Prop-rods scream "cheap" to me!
another thing to look at on the t/b is the fact that there is no linkage to it. fly by wire. while its cool, i want my cable damnit.

and yes, hood struts. thank you gm for keeping them.

more than likely. there is already half of one on there. lol who knows what kind of excess wrapping we will see. you can also see how much baffling they have on the intake already. (the plastic boxes on either side of the intake elbow).

i dont see that scoop being worth a whole lot for induction purposes. given the size of it and its location (right in front of the hood latch) means we probably wont get a functional scoop from that location. it might help slightly to allow more air to the radiator but i dont see it being a useful source of intake.

no doubt there

it is, mainly due to the fact of the oversize heads required to run the quad cams. (and all the useless shrouding.) something im not too happy about, but as long as i get a pushrod v-8 as an option, ill be ok.

Whatever they do they better have an engine for all those people that are going to want better gas mileage as their priority. Gas looks to be holding it's high price into the near future so if they want to sell this car to the masses they will need to be getting high MPG numbers. Me personally, still gotta have the V8
