Pontiac's been on the chopping block since August of last year...when the Board of Directors voted to kill it.

The "niche brand" status was a small ray of hope...

I say let Pontiac die.

I never have liked any modern Pontiac cars; they have nothing really to offer that Chevy and Cadillac can't offer. However, this has been the case since after Delorean left GM.

I am sure workers just want a good job and could care less what GM chose to put on a sticker.

You should test drive a G8 GXP, thats one nice car!

honestly, I'd kill off Saturn before I killed off Pontiac... killing the Saturn nameplate and moving some of its models over to Chevrolet would be logical... the Sky, for instance, would fit nicely into the Chevy lineup.

Saturn is dead as well unless dealers cough up the money to run it themselves.

So with the possible killing of the Pontiac name, gotta wonder what is gonna happen to each of the models they currently make.

G8 - Guessing it will be rebadged
G6 -
G5 - Already another version of it (Cobalt)
G3 - Aveo
Solstice - Rebadge or just stick with the Sky only.
Torrent -
Vibe -

So what do you all think.

G8- Ideally the next-gen Impala...wishful thinking on my part.
G6- Redundant, Epsilon-I Malibu covers it.
G5- Cobalt rebadge
G3- Why the **** is this even here?
Solstice- No replacement scheduled, most likely dead.
Torrent- 1st gen. Equinox rebadge.
Vibe- Chevy maybe.

pontiac sucks anyway, let it die. at least there wont be any hope of a trans am to interfere with the camaro. this is why camaro died in first place cuz gm had 2 muscle cars screwing each other over.

as much as i liked the trans am concept, its not needed

2,939 units sold, +278.2%

Nowhere near Impala or Malibu, but it's among the few GM vehicles that are in the green.
