Order Help needed on new Camaro

Hi All

I put a down payment ($1,000) to my dealer in Oct. In Oct the sales guy told me he would call me in Dec to place the actual order. Yesterday I called him and he told me he has no new info yet. But he "might" call me this week.

Folks....could this be true? I notice many of you ordering etc.

Could someone let me know? I am going to order the Red, RS package but not sure of package because sales guy did not have all details.
Thanks

Anita

Anita,
Your salesman is either and idiot or missinfomred. In either event I would find a new dealer. Look on this website and you can find the ordering workbook. It will list every option and the RPO code for those options. There is also a price guide on here as well. Try using the search button to locate these documents. Or click this link

The RS package includes a rear deck spoiler on the V-6 cars, body colored roof ditch molding, halo HId headlights, 20" midnight silver wheels, darker tail lights, and RS badges in various places.

Get your deposit back, and go to a new dealer. Ordering was opened on October 13th, and dealers have periodically been receiving new information for months now. You can check the "MSRP or less" thread fir a reputable dealer, or talk to one of the awesome salesmen on this site. Including CamaroScotty!

Thank you all!!! I really appreciate it. The dealership that I thought was good is Jennings in Glenview IL, but I might be hunting for a new one soon. Jennings is good but too bad this sales guy has no clue.

Maybe you could just ask to deal with the manager, or at least let him/her get you pointed in the right direction. I say this because the other dealers may have already filled their allocations.

Dave, thanks for this link. Quick question again.
when you all placed your orders did your dealer go exactly with these rates? Is there wiggle room? Just wanted to see what you all encountered with your dealership.

I took it with me just to keep the dealer honest, but no there is no wiggle room. to high of a demand right now. Maybe in a year or so there will be

Keep in mind that pricing isn't final so don't be surprised if the dealer refuses to agree on a number. But certainly get them to agree to "MSRP" or less.
