Highway cruising in Snow/Ice mode

Hear me out here, folks.

I have a 2SS with MRC, A8, and NPP. There are times when I want to be relaxed, quiet, and generally "dull" while I am driving. This is why I got the Camaro with these features so I could tailor the driving experience to my desired performance and comfort level.

I've found that Snow/Ice mode is quite a smooth, comfortable, and quiet experience for lazy freeway driving. The steering becomes very effortless, the suspension seems softer, and the car becomes very quiet. Overall it's a surprising and substantial difference from Track mode just one click up on the driving mode button.

Has anyone else tried this? I once saw a matrix comparison of the different drive modes and their respective settings. Does anyone have this image? I believe most of the settings between Tour and Snow/Ice were the same, but a part of me is convinced that it's much smoother overall than Tour mode. Has anyone else tried Snow/Ice for a long period of time and found it to actually be useful in some daily driving scenarios?

Steering and suspension are the same in Snow/Ice as Tour. Throttle progression is different though.

I had to use it in a hail storm the day after I bought the car and found it very useful and inspired a lot of confidence. I did a noise test and Tour and Snow noise levels are the exact same but I have not driven it under normal conditions. Take a look at my YouTube channel to see the hail and noise videos if you want to see more.

I use Snow/Ice in inclement weather and when it's generally poor road conditions. Otherwise, it's between Tour and Sport -- or, I'll custom set my suspension and steering manually and then change the car between modes for throttle.

You'll find the matrix here -- http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427470

I've used it during rainy days. Love the flexibility of these cars.

That's good! I have great neighbors, so I do use it if I'm coming home late.

Are you able to engage Snow/Ice mode before starting up? I don't have my car yet but I do start work early and don't want to upset the neighbours if possible...

You'll want to change it before you turn the car off beforehand. It'll keep the same setting (except Track on the V8s) from the last time the car was on.

Was raining like cats and dogs yesterday and I got caught up in it. Snow/Ice definitely made the car feel safer in that slippery situation! Love that we have this option

Ah, that seems like a missed opportunity. Guess I'll have to be quick on the button after starting up. . Thanks though!

Yeah it is the throttle that is changed when moving to Snow/Ice...just helps you be smoother in the cold stuff so you don't light up the tires at every green light.

If you leave it in tour mode, it will be quiet (relatively) when you start it up. Tour and Snow/Ice are supposed to be different sound levels but the two sound the same to me.
