Lets tighten those bolts

Dunno if this has been posted before, but with so many noobs and novices out there with a Camaro as their first performance car, thought I'd drop a helpful tidbit.
For those of you installing/having istalled headers.....always remember to re-torque those header bolts and connections after a few heating/cooling cycles. Locktite or not, they will loosen a bit.
Second, I just discoverd 4 of the plastic fasteners missing from the front rubber diffuser......and the rest were loose. So, lets remember to check those as well.

Agree with you about the header bolts, and this also applies to aftermarket exhaust system clamps too!!! But I'm still trying to figure out what the hell a "front rubber diffuser" is?!?!? Is that anything like a flux capacitor?!?!?

All mine were barely finger tight, so it's a good idea to check them out.

Pretty sure its the black strip underneath the front end...you know, the one everybody rips off when they go over a parking stop...lol

Yes, tighten bolts....my rims needed to be retorqued (140 ft/lbs) after 25 miles of driving after install...Go to your favorite tire store, they will usually check your lugs for free...

The 140 was for my Torq-thrust after market wheels...dunno what stock is supposed to be...

Whatever wheel you have, stock or not, a good tire and wheel place can look it up and get the correct torque...
