I've had both.

I switched from MBRP to what I currently have now, stainless works retro chambered cat back.

The stainless works is much better sounding. Trust me.

The stainless works retro chambered exhaust is louder than the Borla Atak.

Did the same research and came to the same conclusion. Love The way Stainless Works Retro sounds.

How is the volume of the SW retro compared to the MBRP? Louder? A lot or little? I am torn between the two. I plan on shorties not LT and later solo high flow cats. I've heard clips with the SW retro and solos that seem like it would be much too loud for me - though I love the deep sound.

Heads-up. This is an old thread you've dug up and bumblebeecamaro83 hasn't posted on this forum since 2013.

Hey,

I have the MBRP, I have heard both setups on a cammed/header car and the MBRP is a little quieter but not by much.

Heres a soundclip for your listening pleasure.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions

I have the MBRP 3 inch and it has no rasp and is deep and not too loud . I have SW 1 7/8 long tubes with HF cats . I have used MBRP systems on many diesel trucks and the quality is fantastic ,so it was a no brainer when it came to the Camaro . The price was great and the sound is what I was looking for. Deep with no rasp.
