I would buy some octane boost like 102+ at Canadian Tire or a speed shop to boost you up from 87. I used to use that years ago when I had my 80's Chevy Malibu that I had dropped in a 72 Impala 350 into the engine bay. I have not seen any for awhile, but I have not been looking. Retards at the pumps.... they don't know and they don't care. sry to hear about that worrisome fact.

I like to use the Chevron station in downtown Hillsboro across from Tuality hospital or the one on T-V Hwy near 185th. The attendants are always helpful, polite & careful. They usually have the best price, too.

I bet that's the last time you walk away from the car at the pumps! There's full service around my area and they are usually 5 cents higher than the self serve.

Let the station manager know that the genius who pumped the gas could potentially screw up the car because of his inability to LISTEN.

Maybe they should require the attendants to pass a literacy test.

The computer automaticaly adjusts to the lower octane and lowers performance. Fill up with 93 and after you run a tankfull through it, do a search and do the "fuse pull" fix. You will notice a great performance increase. I don't own a new Camaro yet, but have been on this site long enough to pick up on a few tips. |

This statement is ridiculous. Gas is slightly cheaper in N.J. compared the the rest of the northeast...but that's because the state tax on gas is a bit cheaper. It has absolutly nothing to do with subsidizing the price of gas with the income tax collected from a select group of people. Take a ride down the NJ Turnpike one day with your windows down, look around and take a deep breath....Thats why gas is SLIGHTLY cheaper...Its the least they could do for poisoning the enviorment. Sorry for the hijack. Anyway these guys are right, a tank of 87 isn't going to kill you. Next time use 93 and do the fuse pull. |

I can defiantly feel the difference between 89 and 93 Next tankful from 89 to 93 do a fuse pull and you will be able to feel the difference. |
