I was told at the dealership where I got my SS that I should never get the oil changed until the car tells me to do so. Get it changed within 600 miles of the car telling you to, and also to rotate your tires EVERY oil change.

Mine is at 97% so far. I get 1 free oil change from my dealership, so Ill have them do the first one, unless I go ahead and change it at 1500 after break in.

Not so sure of that statement about the tire rotation, since front and rear are different sizes. I'd probably visit a differnt dealer if they've been charging you for tire rotations.

that's my personal preference. the % can probably go lower. but i prefer to do it before it goes to whatever the lowest percentage is on the DIC.

On a stagered setup like the RS/SS cars have you can still "rotate" the tires. But all it really is is swaping them left to right, right to left on the front and back. If you drive the car by yourself the left side tires can actually wear out faster then the right side tires because of the extra weight of the driver. So swapping them between the two sides can help even that out a bit.

I'm at 15% and the car has not told me to change yet. I'm getting it done this week anyways. I think the owner's manual will tell when it's needed in miles or %?

Nope says once a year or when the display tells you to, thought it would give a % but no dice.
