cat back exhaust

Hey all.. I've been looking into different after market exhaust options for my 2010 camaro, at this point it looks like i'll be getting the borla atak exhaust. The only thing holding me back is the hefty price tag. Are there other options out there that sound as nice as the atak system but for less $?

Magnaflow "competition" axle back. Essentially its a mandrel bent muffler delete with 5" tips.

you pay for the quality... how much is the borla atak?

if i had to choose between borla and corsa, i would choose corsa any day of the week, and i do not have either on my car...

i have ARH headers & x-pipe w/ magnaflow comp series axle back and i wish i woulda waited until ARH came out with their exhaust kit or their short kit w/ just headers and cats so i coulda either bought their complete header back kit or chosen my own cat-back.

BTW Corsa cat-back is $1200 with free shipping at a lot of online sites. not sure what the borla kit is and how available it will be since it is newer.

I'd agree with the Magnaflow 3" cat-back with muffler delete. Stainless steel looks great and will last forever. I have used their products in several of my cars. They are superior. Do some searching on e-bay. Just make sure the seller has very good feed-back.

I have the SOLO Mach X. I'm very pleased with it. It's not obnoxiously loud, but has an awesome sound. For $750, it's a steal. But from the clips I've heard that Borla Atak sounds ridiculous....but that price is a bit much for me.

not sure what the attack is running for, i'm gettin a stainless work's catback system for a lil over a $1,000 that I feel has a mean sound to it. Not cheap either though but it's good quality just as borla is.

my only concern with stainless works aggressive muffler is this...

that steel wool wrapping looks like it can easily come loose or degrade over time. with borla atack or corsa, this will never happen because they do not use packing on the inside of their mufflers.

even magnaflow's muffler design is better than this one, because they use a filler on top of the steel wool to prevent the stuff from coming loose.

Some of the replies here were dead on perfect.

I just wanted to see if what you were looking for was the "sound" or the "quality" of the ATAK?

There aren't many that sound like the ATAK save for perhaps the Cherry Bomb that WBT has on his rig. That's not a bad piece at all for the price and sound.

His link has alot of great ideas that might help you make a decision.

Best of luck sir!,
Ivan

I was thinking the corsa but checkout the SLP loudmouth II. it has an aggressive sound but not annoying.
