Pats looking to sign Adrian Wilson, Dwight freeney, and possibly John Abraham and Emanuel sanders (which would be a major steal) Not to mention already snatching up Leon Washington (great 3rd down back and return specialist), Danny amendola (Wes welker but younger) and Donald jones If my team wasn't already out of the 2013-2014 season I would be crying. (Although I haven't really stopped since the 49er blow out and the now infamous butt fumble) |

Only jets fans would give the dolphins a C grade for what they've done in FA so far. And then praise a team for talking to players, but haven't signed, ie abraham/freeney. Leon Washington hit the dreaded 30y/o mark. And i really don't think amendola will be able to produce like welker. I mean, you could say the same thing about edleman being a younger welker...would sound just as dumb. Cant replace a welker, imo.
Dolphins have about 17mil in cap space, after all their recent signings. More than enough to re-sign jake long, and all the rookies in the draft. They'll have plenty to spare to roll into next years cap. Wallace is only getting about 3.2mil this year. And if they don't get Long back, lane johnson will probably be their first pick in the draft.

I reserve judgement on the fins until week 4. Yes they made some nice acquisitions but it kind of has the 2011 Philadelphia "dream team" eagles or the 2012 bucs or bills. These teams spent like crazy for a losing record. Don't get me wrong I wish my team had the cap space to grab some playmakers but they followed this philosophy in 2008 to 2011. Yes it brought them some short term success but they mortgaged the future to "buy" a championships. I like the moves the fins made, but I look at the pats year after year and they don't pay high dollar free agents. They get value and it leads to long term success! Ok they haven't won the Super Bowl recently but they have been there and constantly in the mix. Dolphins might have won free agency but they don't get rings for it. Besides I don't know how many times I have to say it.........WE HAVE TEBOW! So nobody stands a chance! |

Well just for the record, i give the fins a B+, and think they are a first or second round playoff team for 2013. But of course I'm rooting for a SB run
