It's not the hood. It's the front bumper.

If the slot you're taking about is the mailslot, then you need the SS front fascia. Its not the hood that has the slot. I don't know the specs on the front fascia to say if you can put in on your car. If you can fit an SS fascia on an LT you can maye look into having a body shop cut a mail slot into your current fascia.

Then you wouldn't be able to tell them apart, other than the sound. Gotta make the car that cost $10k more look different too.

It does fit and I just had to replace my front bumper on my SS cause I hit a cat and it was about a $1000 painted and installed, the bumper itself was $375.

and yeah it sucks the front bumper on the v6 is smaller then the v8 go look at them side by side

also find a shop and do a custom front bumper for the v6

Probably a chupacabra

I would probably just find a real good shop and get an estimate for cutting a mailslot into your current bumper. Then you wont have to worry about fitting on a new bumper and having it painted. Bring lots of pics of the mailslot with you.

At 75mph a cat will do some damage! And the SS bumper WILL fit on the V6, and it will probably cost you more to have the shop "cut" you a mail slot in your bumper. They will have to repaint the bumper anyway PLUS the work it will take to custom make the slot. Its easier just to order the SS bumper for $350 and have them paint it and put it on. Its not that hard to figure out guys...

Yep that's right! It does fit. They may look different but are mounted the same way.

It's easy to take off. If you can get it off yourself that would save you on the labor at the body shop.
