Sorry to hear about the loss of the G8 what a sweet car that does not get the respect it is due. Big and roomy with a big motor got to love it plus you can haul the kids around in it.
Noway will the Camaro do it is a fun car to own and drive but the back seat is useless except for putting my coat back there. When we go out with friends we take the G8 and have a good time with the ole Pontiac as well.

Happy searching for the right car

I have to agree, not the best daily driver if you have kids to haul around all the time. But, if it's just you and another, it would be good.

I drive my camaro daily though I do have my fiance's "bar car" and his truck if I need it. With it being just us, the Camaro is perfect!

Living in the northeast it wouldnt be ideal for me. Being that I have a family of 4, makes it even less ideal. If I were single and living in Cali or Florida id say yes.

My camaro is my dd and I have 2 kids (5 y/o twins) I dont have another car but my b/f has a charger that we have to take when we go out as a "family" cuz he has a son and cant fit 3 kids in the backof my car, lol! The back seat is tiny especially when my b/f rides in the camaro cuz he is 6'4 and basically has to have the seat all the way back. My kids have to sit criss cross when he rides. Long trips are taken in the charger just for the room factor.

I would not recommend it as an only car for someone with children... backseat is small and you might not enjoy cleaning kid mess back there. IMO the camaro was not at all fun to drive in the snow... also could you just imagine salty snowy kid feet on the backs of your seats!? AHH def plan on getting a 4 door!

I traded in a 2004 Ranger V6 when I got my camaro, and I have regretted it ever since. I use my Camaro as a daily driver and its fine, but every once in a while there is something large you need to carry and you wish you still had a truck.

My Camaro is my only car, and I LOVE IT! I drive it all year round too, even through our tough Michigan winters. Obviously it hurts me to drive it around through the snow, but it handles very well. All you need is another set of wheels and some winter tires.
Otherwise, the car is perfect for a grocery-getter, and with small kids, it should be fine.
Ultimately, you only live once. Wouldn't you rather your only car be a sweet sports car?? You can make it work... so I say DO IT!!

If your two kids are small it should be fine. If they're over like 5"5 your back seats are useless. The trunk is pretty decently sized, but if your moving definitely rent a u-haul and just use the camaro for like clothes, maybe a few boxes, lamps, etc.

You should be fine with it as a DD as long as you don't have snow.

The camaro has been my only car since I got it on 2/25/11, HOWEVER, I'm planning on getting a winter beater for the next cold season--hopefully an SUV that I can use to haul things or a small ext. cab truck. I have three kids (2 of them are little) and they have no probs riding in the back.

I'm a single dad with a 15yr old. The camaro is my daily driver. I do miss my truck sometimes. But the camaro works for us! I haven't moved nor do I plan on moving for many years! I'm even able to get my Son's bike in the trunk! Just two weekends ago I t drove to st George with two other friends in the car (adults) and it was a fun two hour drive! So, like I said, it works for us!
