I may be swapping out my rear view mirror for one with a backup camera monitor from an Acadia. I therefore would be interested in a wiring diagram of the Camaro mirror. Where do these diagrams come from, the dealership?

Auto-Mute?

I am trying to connect the Passport 9500ci auto-mute speaker wire to the stock head. Any ideas on where to connect it? The idea is to auto-mute the stereo and have the radar detector audio signal come through the car's speaker system.

I think the UQA figure in post 3 is wrong. It says the 6x9 woofers are 4 ohm and the tweeters are 2 ohm, but according to my multimeter those should be swapped. Anyone else get that or am I doing something wrong?

Agreed, i have tried several times to splice into the BA wire harness to get the pre-amp level outputs. Every time i plug the newly spliced rca cable into the amp the speaker hisses . . . tried both the right and left rear speakers same issue. have tried reversing polarity as well still hisses.

Used the following wire set-up below
Tan # 4----right rear (-) low level
Dark Blue # 12----right rear (+) low level
These two together make one RCA jack (RED RCA input)
Brown #5----left rear (-) low level
brown/white #13----left rear (+) low level
These two together make one RCA jack (WHITE RCA input)

I only need one side to work as im just wiring one sub.

Anyone know what im doing wrong?

DIY turned up some info to add to this this weekend.

X1 is infact the rear 6x9 woofer/ or mid X 2 is the tweeter. Goes as follows..

X1 LR 6x9 Wire 7 is + and 3 is -
X1 RR 6x9 Wire 6 is + and 2 is - OF OFF the amp

X2 LR 6x9 Wire 15 is - and 16 is +
X2 RR 6x9 Wire 1 is - and 2 is +

PS the factory tweeter lasted 23 seconds with out a cross over on a JL amp Glad I already bought my replacement 6x9's

Still have not figured out the Back up, door chime, and turn signal sound. It's kinda loud .. only a slight amp burp with a JL 300/4 v2 at power down. ya have to reall really listine for it..... All X3 wires are shilded with a foil type material and a bare wire that goes somewere??????

After looking just a tad at the print it looks as the orange wire on the X3 connector will have to have a resistor installed to make the car think it still has the amp. so I guess its time to ope the factory amp up and see what resistance this needs to be since its so hard to find out for sure...
