Order Workbench’s Quick Order Sat Oct 29, 2011 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Could someone tell us the timezone times that Order Workbench’s Quick Order will open on sat to input orders? Will it be ready to input orders when the dealership opens sat or possibly any time at all prior to the store opening?

I was told that at my dealership you can go in today & get the finances & paperwork done & then they will plug in the workbench order at opening tomorrow.

Guys & Gals, be sure to ask if changes are allowed after workbench order & before production begins. (In case you see Ashen Grey and fall in love or vice versa, or find out about a new option you want before then.)

How can they do finances and paperwork? No price or anything yet.. They have nothing to do paperwork on just do the quick order and take a deposit. You can't do your financing that far in advance..

My dealer said his quick order isn't available yet, and that the information he has from GM is that it begins on Monday.

I told him he needs to look again, and that I will see him in the morning. (Sat, Oct 29th.)

Any suggestions at to how to approach him if he doesn't figure it out by tomorrow morning? I have his only allocation from the initial run at MSRP, probably the only one coming to El Paso from the first run.

I've printed out the important dates & the Reference Guide for him.

I know he watched the webinar the other day, or at least they said he was watching it.

How would the ordering supervisor not know the date for Order Workbench's Quick Order ? This is a pretty big dealership with 20-25 coupes and 10-11 convertibles on the lot.

And yes, thanks to you comrades here Camaro5, I know considerably more about anything ZL1 related than any of them at the dealership.

He will need to get the quick order working. I would hate to have to barricade myself into his office until I could figure it out myself.

We did the quick order this afternoon, It gets submitted tomorrow. You can save them without submitting. We never tried to send it although it looked as if it probably would go. I thought it would be better to wait till tomorrow so it has less chance of getting kicked back. Probably have number tomorrow I imagine.
We did fill it all out and selected options etc. Its definately up, so I don't know what they are doing. I have a paper copy already.

OK, now I'm getting tense.

The General Manager said he wanted to keep their first two for "advertising purposes."

This was relayed by the ordering manager who found out this morning that the quick order workbench is "live" just as I told him it would be.

I am going there now. I hope I don't have to be unpleasant.

I've been first on the list since February when I requested that a list be made. I've gone in every month and made myself known.

I also know how to disseminate information that would make for very bad press for this dealership if they don't honor their commitment to me which was reaffirmed every time I went in. When I walked through the door I was told, "Yes, you are first for a ZL1" - before I had to ask after the first couple of times.

I was told they are only getting ONE in the initial round, so here's hope that they do the right thing.

I went through similar hoops Scarrzz. Information changes daily. I am also in an uncertain situation. Spent a good portion of the morning at the dealer and did the quick order along side the rep without getting an order number. Long story. Tell us how it goes later on. I'm trying get a handle on it all right now and will give out more info later after I read some posts. many are in the same boat, having much conflicting information without being able to get a definate answer. Keep the faith.

Ouch...I don't think the dealerships know how much these cars mean to their customers...I would have a hard time keeping my cool with them.
