Mine's a DD so I expected some battle scars, but I've had two people back into my car (both front and rear) in a parking lot and run off, I've been egged, and the ever popular door dings too :(
I'm just waiting for the day I catch someone doing anything to ANY car. The things I will do...let's just say I don't want it on record.

The good news is that you don't need a new door skin. What will happen here is they will fill that dent and then grind it flush with the natural shape of the door. Then they will prep the entire door and respray it to blend the paint. The quote you were given is accurate.

Had a neighbor kid that got arrested for going around town shooting out windows with a bb gun, years later when he finally was got money to get a nice vehicle, S-10 all tricked out, someone did the same to him. No it wasnt me, but I wasn't saddened by it either. Fast forward a few more years same kid drunk driving hits telephone pole kills his best friend, has to do time for vehicle manslaughter. Karma is a bitch and some never learn.
