I'm gonna say....no they aren't meant to run that. And it's recommended you run premium fuel in them.

The following is not political opinion. This is political fact from a political scientist. Remember that Congress has far more power than any President. Be sure to convey what you want passed or rejected to your elected officials. Failure to do so will result in not getting your way. Democracy demands more of us than just voting. Contact your elected officials to make a difference.

Actually...you don't get better mileage with E85, its just a greener fuel.

soon technology will allow us to find a way to run less powerful engines with gaining more power with more fuel efficient products... dont b so scared of change.. 1 day the things we need will in fact run out.

think first.... then post.....or do research...........wikipedia and howstuffworks.........

E85 has an octane rating of 100–105 compared to regular gasoline's typical rating of 85–93

but manufacturers do not tune E85 ethanol-capable engines for higher performance than their gas-only counterparts

Automakers spend an estimated $150 to make a vehicle E85-ethanol capable.

They do this by the elimination of bare magnesium, aluminum, and rubber parts in the fuel system. Also, fuel pumps must be capable of operating with electrically conductive ethanol instead of non-conducting dielectric gasoline fuel. Fuel injection control systems have a wider range of pulse widths to inject approximately 40% more fuel. Stainless steel fuel lines, sometimes lined with plastic, and stainless steel fuel tanks in place of terne fuel tanks are used. In some cases, E85 vehicles use acid-neutralizing motor oil. For vehicles with fuel-tank mounted fuel pumps, additional differences to prevent arcing, as well as flame arrestors positioned in the tank's fill pipe, are also sometimes used.[citations needed]

..........

How I read it ............. E85 + tune = more horsepower
