Staten Island Area Meet II - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok guys - after the success of our first meet in Staten Island many have suggested that we plan another meet for this season. Being that NJ is having a meet on 12/5 I think the best available dates about be 12/19 or 12/26.

Lets start the planning now. I am open for either date and hope that we can get a decent outcome again as the first I was very surprised to even have as many cars as we did.

The only thing to keep in mind is that given the season now that there is a good chance that the weather will interfere with any plans that we make. I dont think we need to completely abandon the entire winter season for meets but just have to keep our expectations limited due to the unknown weather situations that can arise.

Please post your thoughts or opinions on this. If we need to schedule it after the new year we can push it to then as well.

Coming in the spring I plan to put together much larger and more organized events with a bigger outcome and also start with awarding owners for thier cars based on peer judging. We can also assemble events that would allow us to incorporate sporting events or even a group BBQ in the nice summer months.

Either date works for me. Hopefully the weather holds up . The meet yesterday was a good time and I am looking forward to meeting up with everyone again. We should talk about putting together a club and put up a web site with updates about meets.

Probably won't be able to make either dates, I have work both dates. But I'll be looking forward to the meets in the nicer weather, and hopefully have some decent mods by than.

as long as the weather is good iam there ,nansen lodge is a good bbq spot when the warm weather comes around , safe parking and nice private grounds.

I'm out for all Camaro meets until mid January. Busy time of the year!

I really hope to get back into the swing of things after the Holiday's and such.

Time to start thinking about bringing the cars out again - it is March 1 and we will be able to drive again soon.

How about we start planning a meet in Staten Island again for the end of April - we should be pretty safe at that time and hopefully the road salt is gone.
