I see your point for sure! Which I am buying a truck to split mileage with my camaro. To be honest the car drives like stock believe it or not, until you throttle it, so traffic doesn't bother me, and my commutes are usually 10 minutes whether I am going to work, home, or the gym. This is my only vehicle currently, so I am forced to DD it, but I love it.

To answer your question....I also make 700whp and I daily drive mine. Just under 100 miles a day. Nothing but freeway in the morning and then light to light on the way home. So it's a good mix.

DD on DR's will just drain your bank account. You'll need regular tires for DD duty.

Probably should have clarified - the DRs will be on a spare set for the rear. I am running Michelin PSS all around. 315/285

I drive my 10 sec car everyday. I also drive it to the track when I go. I only have 600RWHP. Have no problems with daily use.

When you have a car that can pull the front wheels off the ground a bit rolling along at 60 mph, THAT is a hell of a ride! I used to tune a car like that, ran mid 8's at the track, drove it everywhere, but in no way would I consider it a DD.

+1 It also depends what kind of daily driving you are talking about. If it's a short comfortable ride to work without too much traffic it would be nice to get a little enjoyment before and after work. But if it's anything like my commute it would start to suck the fun out of it for me. Just my 2c.

And... that's why I always go auto. And I DD on drag radials pretty much all year except for winter.

I'm doing H/C in a couple of weeks, goal is 10.9 for 2015. I hate driving beaters and regular cars.

I DD my Zl1 with about 650 whp. Car is my only vehicle and currently has just over 43,000 miles in a year and a half with zero issues. I have over 300 passes at the strip. My car runs 10.280@ 132.64 mph. GM and FSP build them great!
