I know there are SS haters.... but..

I bought my wife pretty much a four door Camaro last night. With the 20% off on all the SS models going on, I couldn't pass it up. Its funny cause it matches my Camaro... both are red hot!! maybe I will convince her to vinyl wrap the roof black? It has a lot of characteristics that remind me of my 2011 Camaro, the instrument cluster and display look pretty much identical.

Nice purchase! The 20% off is the sweet spot on this car.

Wish they didn't discontinue Jungle Green.

Not sure why ANYBODY would hate an AMERICAN 4-dr V-8 RWD with 400+ under the right foot...

I used to be a CTS-V fan until I got my 'maro...even looked at the SS but for the $$$/power/wow factor I could not be happier!

And it's awesome your wife seems to appreciate this too...30 yrs here! peace out...

Congrats!

Not sure I've come across anyone that actually hates the SS. Some people don't get why you'd want a fun sedan, but those kind of people generally don't understand the purpose of fun anyway.

There's a whole rash of SS converts on VWVortex, curiously most of them are in SoCal. The SS certainly has an instant cult following. I just wish Chevy put as much enthusiasm into marketing the car as its owners feel towards it.

Nice ride. The SS is an awesome car and if you can get a hold of some HSV parts it only gets better.

I think the hate comes from the bland styling and stupid name and probably the $50k price tag. Styling can be easily fixed with some Commodore parts.

The VF Commodore looks much more aggressive. Hell the G8 was much more aggressive.

This car would have been better off offered with options instead of one fully loaded model and that's it.

I will be sad to see it end production as I love a good high powered RWD V8 sedan.

I think this $40k price is great and where it needed to be.

The VF Commodore IS the SS.

I know that.... it's why I said it needs some of the styling. Say parts off the HSV, the holden grille, etc. It looks like any other Malibu, Impala, etc on the road. My wife won't spot the SS until I point it out. She can point out a G8 easily though even from a distance.

...the Chevrolet SS is literally a VF Commodore with Chevrolet badges.

There are no design differences between the two..

The HSV models are a different story, and technically HSV is a separate company from GM.
