N/A performance

So I have seen the fast list and people in mid 13's with bolt ons, tune and drag radials. So anyone else think its possible to make 12's with the same setup plus cams and taller gears? I believe it can be done.

Yea that would be nice i have thought about gettin a used V8 M6 diff and throwin that under mine to see if the gears would help get her going with losing to much MPG at cruseing speed.

I think its a long shot, but MAYBE possible. We've had this discussion in the past.

Only one or two N/A Mustang V6s that I know of have ran into the very high 12s, which included full bolt ons, tune, gears, and rims/tires.

Due to the extra weight, I don't think we will ever see better than low 13s with the same mods. Add cams into that picture and then maybe someone could squeak out a 12. Cams have only been attempted in one V6 so far, and that is Yellow_Glide's 2010 V6. He seemed to pick up around 25 - 30 rwhp with the cams alone, but then they added ported high flow heads to the build and after that it never ran perfectly from what I can remember. I think it runs decent, but the tune or something is holding it back.

Not to mention the power is moved well up into the rpms range. Low end power is lost but peak power is higher and I think moved well into the 7,000+ rpm range.

Yep, Tracy has been saying that. But thats one of those I'll believe it when I see the proof type things for me.

Although I doubt you can give an example where I have ever posted something not accurate here, can you? His has the stock converter also, but we just did 3:55 gears from the 3:27's so he thinks he can beak into the 12's now. We will see, and it's FL summer heat and humidity now as well for him to fight. He should post today I hope.

Give me a NA car and the budget and I'll get one in the high 12's. Been doing this for over 38 years and our old bracket car made only 341 to the rear wheels and we ran mid 11's wining big$ bracket races all over the Eastern US for years (200k miles before we sold it, started racing it w/24k miles....several stories on it in different race magazines, etc. over the years).

So yes, I think we can see one, but not a run-of-the mill bolt on.

Tracy, I wasn't calling you out. Anyone could be making those claims, but we need to SEE it as we have never seen anything close to it yet. So you can see where I'm coming from.

Hope to hear from this guy.

I believe it can be done. May take me a couple years but I'm planning on trying it.
