The back looks really close to the elantra, but not the rest.
Car looks great, are they going to release a 2 door version? maybe an SS too
First thing i would do to this car is to get a new hid to make the upper gril dissapear, just looks out of place with the lines of the car

Bravo at the interior. They should get a good slap in the wrist for not including a performance version though... plus anyone know the base prices?

atleast it looks a little bit better then the cobalt from the out side.......................... the interior is awesome though. i really liked the cobalt because of the turbo and supercharger.

Was there word on a coupe?
I think it's a big step down... On the exterior atleast. Looks like something Kia would build trying to be sporty.

How does an ugly ass bubble car look better than all the other ugly ass bubblecars?

Makes no sense to me.

Overall, I like it. Tail lights look a little like an Elantra but thats about it. The Elantra has such weak lines in the sides, like they couldn't decide what to do with it. Go get em GM!

From the a pillar back I like it, but the front lets it down. That said, with the exception of the Civic, it looks no worse than anything else in the class. The only problem I can see is that the front looks kind of cheap, which is different than just being ugly or bland, but once again so do a lot of cars in this segment.

Way back when it was first announced, they said it would probably be priced somewhere in between the Cobalt and Malibu...which sets us somewhere around 17k.

And when was a performance version ever offered right off the bat?

They need to exist, whether you like'em or not. That's how a company makes money to build our fun cars.....and the Cruze is supposed to be a profit-powerhouse.

Biggest let down besides the exterior will be the engine choices.

And that's exactly what GM needs. These baby's need to sell like hotcakes if you want to keep seeing performance cars come out!

Thanks cafe

Well if it was supposed to be a successor to the Cobalt, then something equivalent to the Cobalt SS should have been offered IMO. I might wait on buying the Cobalt and pick one of these up...

But I agree with your last statement. Profitability should be what matters to GM right now.
