Y say nay. Go with a lethal NF cam and avoid guessing games. To me and other shops these heads love some overlap.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next

So I'm looking to add headers in the near future. Gonna have a shop in the Houston area install and do a custom tune. Basically I want my car (L99) to be faster than the 2014 5.0 w/track pkg. Already have a CAI. and catback. What else should I look into for an extra bit of power?

Underdrive pulley, cam, heads. All depends on how far in you're willing to go. You could replace your rotating assembly with a stroker kit. You could add a blower. You could add nitrous. You could do all of the above.

LMR more than likely. Heard alot of good things about ARD too. What would it take to get around 400-425 rwhp?

You could do LT's, Varaam, UDP, PTB, PI, gears, and tune and have a totally different car....

A cam if you stay VVT there's TSP or Rhino79 if you go Ls3 conversion there is the Lethal Nitefury cam and you will be over 430/450 range

I always drive in competitive mode(I like to double click). Never had this issue before I added the mods, and it's not a huge deal, but I would much rather have instant acceleration upon shifting, rather than the brief pause. I will data log it and see where it goes from there.

Thanks everybody.

Yeah that's your best bet. Mine certainly doesn't do that. Post your csv log when you get it. I have livelink, i'd like to see what's going on.

Best to log it with a laptop and Livelink. Get your SCT handheld connected to your car and recognized by livelink, and add the parameters (in Livelink... not the handheld) that Jannetty tells you to. Make sure knock retard is in there. Throttle body position might be a good one to log too. We'll go from there if we don't find anything. I'll have to fire mine up to refresh my memory on all the parameters available. I have been meaning to log a little problem I have had too. This might be a good excuse.

::EDIT::

I can't remember if the actual throttle blade position can be logged or not. I know you can log commanded throttle, but obviously that's not going to be very helpful here huh?
