New 1LE Owner in Miami, FL, first Camaro
How's it going folks? I've been lurking in the 1LE section of these forums for a few months now and finally went through with it Saturday afternoon. After a brief test drive and some negotiation, followed by lots of waiting and signing papers, I got a good deal on the car and left with it past 10pm...
Just a little background on me: I'm a mechanical engineer and long time gearhead from Miami FL. My other vehicles include a 96 Tacoma, 90 Miata, and 08 GSXR 750. Both my truck and Miata are actually pretty capable autocross builds and I've been running them for some time now. I wanted something with more power and no need for mods, so I looked into a C7 Grandsport but wasn't happy with the markup I saw on them locally. I realized the 1LE had the same kind of track gear I like on the Grandsport plus a rear seat where I can drop a baby seat- all for 10+k under the cheapest Grandsports I could find. CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
