Just didn't like the method of draining, and wanted to try this can. I liked what I saw when it was released and wanted to try it for myself.

I've been away for a while. How does this one drain better?

You just unscrew the bottom half (in my last picture, you can see the line in the can where the screw is), dump it in the drain pan that you just dumped your oil in, then I can clean the bottom half before putting it back in.

The RX can, had to open the valve (which I had a hard time getting leverage to twist it), and wait for gravity to do its thing, then the tube stayed looking pretty dirty.

I got my Apex Catch Can last week...fast shipping, packaged well, can is really nice...heavier than I thought it was goin to be...

I work away, so I really didn't have time to check things out...

took a couple vacation days, so I thought I'd put it on this morning...instructions aren't on the website yet for the V6...no big deal...I've looked at the V8 instructions...

My roadblock...I have the stock intake tube, not an aftermarket CAI...there's an added chamber on the stock tube, that is right where the bracket goes...

I would send Chase a PM. I believe they did mention on a 2014 that it didn't work with the stock intake tube, but I thought it should have worked on a 2013 and below.

Either way it should be noted on the order page if one is definitely required.

AFAIK All of the stock intakes have the resonator on the passenger side.

hadn't seen a pic of one installed, so I really didn't know it would interfere with the bracket...

It was just a post here.

I was agreeing with you, that if it is the case, they should put it on their website.

Just put the Apex can on yesterday and a CAI intake and it was good I did because I found that the stock intake would have been in the way. With the new one there was no problem.

So I learned today that you only need to put the thread tape where the fitting goes into the can, not where the fittings attach or it won't seal properly.

If anyone followed this guide and made the same mistake that I did, remove the tape going to the fittings, and only use the tape for the threads going into the can haha
