That would actually be sick for the 4th gens. It would be a direct swap.

not really a direct swap for anything unless it came with a 4l80e(most older 3/4 ton trucks)

that is just a modified 4l80e and even the 4th gen guys have to do extensive modifications to get them to fit/work
and would truly be a step backwards from the 6L80E that we have in the gen 5 camaro

So you are telling me our trannies could handle 850HP?

If so why does GM have the torque management making our cars dogs off the line.

FYI -

TCI has been advertising this for about 6 months. Supposedly the transmission TCI is selling is NOT the 6L80E.

"The TCI 6x is a 4L80E that splits the first second and third gears with the overdrive unit. It is very much like a TH400 with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit, but it's all in one case and the ratios are a bit different. (First and second are both lower than stock, which makes a lot of sense to do, since the splitter (OD) reduces the gear drop significantly.)"
