Is it possible to replace all body panels with carbon fiber panels fitted for the car? if so where could i get this done? and i know its expensive but i want it done.....

and if i remove the rear seats, won't that upset the balance of the car, i think its like 52/48, but would it make a significant difference?

Check with siebon's website, google them the have carbon fiber hoods doors front fenders and trunk lids. For the 2010 camaro, I don't know about any other update parts. Haven't been to their site in a while. And as far as removing the back seet I would only remove that if you were going to do any type of racing. Otherwise I see no real point of removing it.

It continues to amaze me. Ford guys think their shit is so great. Why then do you need DOHC and 4 valves per cyl. plus forced air to beat a production pushrod engine with 2 valves per cyl. Face it, when it comes down to it Ford just can't compete. New slogan for the Mustang. "You can't fix stupid"!

Maybe someday some company will be smart enough to come out with tubular carbon fiber sway bars that would probably do the best job and way practically nothing.
Edelbrock makes a tubular front sway bar.

Camaro diet.

Thinking about putting my Camaro on a diet. It needs to loose weight.

What are some ideal stuff I could pull out?

How much does the back seat weigh?

I have a sunroof that I wish I could pull out...but can't do that. :(

Rear seat, AC, radio, speakers, trunk liner, tire repair kit, door panels..etc. You could put a lightweight battery in, that'll save a few pounds (around 10-20 IIRC). Passenger seat, sound deadening material, carpets, headliner.

How drastic do you want to get? Realistically I would change out your battery, take off the engine cover and thats about it. The Camaro and Challenger are both heavy cars and the majority of that weight is in safety requirements and the chassis, hard to slim down without losing creature comforts.

All told..you may be able to shave 100 pounds off.

Looking to see what everyone is removing to keep their cars on a diet but still streetable.

Here is a quick list of things that can be removed without harming driveability:

1. Spare Tire
2. Back Seats
3. Front Sway Bar

Hold on a sec wouldn't removing the front sway really hurt handling? I know it's a muscle car but there is more to driving than straightaways
On the Fox bodied Mustangs you could remove the front sway bar AT THE TRACK, it eased weight transfer to the back wheels for traction, THEN YOU PUT IT BACK ON to go home. It wasn't really done for weight reduction. I have no idea if this trick works on the Camaro, since it has a different suspension, but I've been wondering about it.
