1 month delay - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Just putting this out there.

When I went to my dealer yesterday to change my color (From IOM to CGM)
we were BSing about stuff and he told me that the reason for the 1 month delay is cause the guys that make seats went bankrupt and that all their stuff, including GM's tools were locked up inside by the sherrif's dept.

Don't know how much of that is BS factor or not, just thought I'd put out what I heard

Thats is an interesting combo of runmrs, news stories, and half truths.

1. The company (Johnson Controls) that builds the seats and door panels hes had some major losses and shut down some of its plants, however it will still be building the seats, no dealy here.

2. The company (Cadence) who builds the Gauge clusters has gone bankrupt and his holding the tools and dies for the gauges for ransom due to non payment by GM. GM has been hush hush on settling this, however they did say that this is NOT the cause of the delay.

No Sheriff involvement!

Sweet Jesus, now the seat people have gone tits up? Who will it be next? I don't know if I'm gonna make it to March 16th; my heart can't take much more of this!!

I just heard on the news that Pirelli is going out of business and there will be no tires for our Camaros. The cars will be built, but they won't be able to roll out of the plant.

Actually, our cars are being built and stored behind the tail of Hailey's Comet. You can get them next week but you need to commit suicide to get possesion of them!

I was watching Fox news and they say that the Camaro can transform into a robot also they say it would come fully equipped with machine guns but the gun company went bankrupt so now they just blow bubbles. Sorry guys

I don't think GM will do it but they will leave it up to the dealers to let us know. If you got your Camaro from a dealer I don't think he/she should/would have any problem with you picking up the phone and letting you know where you are if they even know at this time.

I work for a company where we have done that. We could get machines out of the plant and onto trucks but then they took the wheels and tires off. Some were lucky, in that we would send rims but no tires

, and getting it off the truck was your problem
