I do allot of highway driving and I've always averaged 20-22 mpg In my v6. I've always felt it was a bit low but I do have exhaust and intake so I blame it on liking the sound at wot.

Ive noticed a smoother ride with 40 psi than 36. Maybe its all in my head. And I set it last night and got about 25 interstate doin 70. At 55 mph I got 27. So it seems I needed my tires balanced and seafoam put through.

Isn't the max rating on these at 40 psi? Meaning with temperature changes it may rise and blow your tires. Definitely keep it lower than that... 32-35 would be fine

Same is happening to me. I went on a round trip averaging 50+ miles each way at 55+ (at times 65+ mph) and best I saw was 20.3. The engine is still not broken in so that's what I'm blaming. Hopefully it changes.

Nope. That is not it I can guarantee you

The number one factor in low MPGs is the driver
if it's not that, something is probably wrong
I say probably because every single driver will still claim it is the car even if it is not.

One my ride home from the dealer, BRAND NEW, I got 28.9 MPG average. Nothing do with a break-in period, which is pretty much an imaginary concept. Sorry

Max pressure is 50psi.

I pull anywhere from 22 to 30mpg average, obviously 30mpg only on the highway but I've done it before multiple times.

I've been getting about 22-21 since day one in my 2013 2ls. Even after 22s.

I put 36psi in my PZERO 20" and last winter when I had them first put on mpg dropped from having the STANDARD Factory 18"s , from 22mpg City to 17mpg city :-(

Winter 20" 17 mpg City
Winter 18" 22 mpg City
Summer 20" 27 mpg Motorway
Summer 18" 31 mpg Motorway
UK gallons & weather FYI

That's weird then. I do step on it at times, but I was sure I had to get good mileage on the freeway. I'm gonna reset the MPG when I fill up again and will drive really conservative to see if I can get better mileage.

Firstly, rim size does not matter. The wheel manufacturer should not matter in most cases. The PSI depends on the car's ratings.

Secondly, I am running 20s, I have an SS/RS. The rating on the door says 36 PSI. The 2014 I just bought, with dusk 21" rims also states 36 PSI.

The rating provided by the manufacturer, GM, is the minimum PSI. Essentially the PSI you will run cold. It will go up as you drive. Anything other than 36 PSI cold will not get you the best results.
