Would anyone happen to know if any dealers will be given "extra" allocation anytime soon?

Back in October, dealers were given a "production guide number". That was basically an estimate of how many cars dealers would receive up through the end of the 3rd quarter. These allocation numbers that they are receiving now are done on a monthly basis and are specified for each week. I know I've seen reports of dealers saying that they "just got extra allocation" but that doesn't really make too much sense. I guess they got confirmation from their GM rep that their production guide had gone up. There isn't some day planned out in the future where all dealers will be notified how much extra guide they'll be getting. |

There are going to be some very happy people posting their exciting news pretty soon. What a great experience. Some getting cars, some moving into production, some being told that theirs is going into production. Wow! and to think back when all we had to talk about was whether or not there was going to be a strip light on the dash.....

On top of that we get the one unit that all dealers get and then we get the BONUS of the NY Mets car as well.

Just curious, how were you informed you were getting an extra one? Doesn't your allocation report only go out a month?

after reading this thread, i emailed my dealer asking about his allocation for this month and got this response,
Brett, Great news. We've just been allocated 2 Camaros for the month of April. Your car is going to be one of the two units and will most likely move into the production schedule for the week of the 04/30/09. Thanks Camaro5....i would not have known about the allocations without this site!
