I hope I know how to behave with my new car. I've never raced in my GT, but I love a good hard 1-2 shift around a corner, or a sprint to 55/60.

Thanks lol. And my old 07 GT was a blast to power shift from 1st to 2nd. It would leave a nice, foot long black mark on the pavement when you did it right lol.

Obviously street racing is a no no, but do other towns have areas the police turn a blind eye to for a little bit of harmless fun and grudge matches? We have a perfect painted strip in an industrial part of town that the police tolerate. Or at least they did in my younger years.

I'm with you... I've gotten a lot better now that I'm almost 40 with two kids... I now realize that not everyone on the road wants to see a burnout and hear my exhaust at redline.... go figure... LOL

But I still find myself.. hand on the shifter, foot over the clutch... just in case he wants to ... uhm ... well you know... see how fast we can get to the speed limit...

OH man it was awesome. There is an abandoned airstrip that we can go to. But the property owners found out after it got to be too popular and started calling the cops...

There are some industrial areas around here but you better get in and out quick from what I've been told... Since the airfield... I've been on my best behavior.... Even when baited, I usually just wave and let them go by... almost always....

We have a back road around here that has a solid white line across it at exactly 1/4 mile. Oddly enough, it's highway style paint, like the DMV uses for intersections. Almost like the DMV put it there lol
