Engine Power is Reduced" twice it has happen to my car
First time was at work, now again it happened. I already took it to the dealer and they said they had to change the fuel sensor. Now again it occurred and my Camaro rumbles out of place. It's a 2012 it shouldn't have that problem and I havnt done any mods to it lately.
The only thing was change my HiDs fr 12k to 6k because of the cops. Anyone has any idea of what is going on? Thank you ahead of time.

Like in the dashboard of my car once I turned it on, an exclamation point comes out and it says Engine Power is Reduced. I can't even change the mode or anything or see my tire pressure at all. I called the dealer but the service part is closed at 5 I got out of work at 5 too. So now I gotta till Monday to se what in the world is going on with my car. If it is something electrical how can it affect the engine power. Like I'm so confused.
I jus got home, my car had trouble accelerating. It goes to 4rpm just to get to 20 mph and I lightly press on the gas. I sure dont drive my car violently. I take good care of it and I'm not those that rev the car and speed or accelerate quickly before. I'm jus clueless

Well good and bad computers will record it and I bet someone will chime in and maybe it is a fuse pull to get you on rode to dealership.

first time I brought it to the dealer, he said that GM manufacturer asked if I had HIDs and stuff. I don't know what that has to do with the engine though. And idk how is it that the headlights affected my fuel sensors.
I must have bad luck I guess

Also check if any obstructions with anything in your CAI or Intake Manifold.
I was racing across the Desert in the Silver Classic last year from Ely to Las Vegas rolling at about 125 when 'Engine Power is Reduced" came on and the car completely died and would not allow to start back up. Paid for towing to nearest Chev Dealer. Dealer found a tiny piece of rubber had gotten into the intake manifold. I had a new CAI installed just prior so assume that's where it came from. In my case the Dealer had to reset the computer so the car would start. Something that small costs me Thousands of $. Race fees lost, hotel fees, towing fees, Etc. |
