Couple questions?

1)Is everyone being told the first BATCH should show up in April? Or the first CAR?
2)Is the pricing sheet on here accurate? Or when you say you are buying for MSRP, you are just waiting to see what the official MSRP is? Cause to my knowledge dealers still haven't been given a final price list?
3)The people who said they got supplier/dealer/employee prices locked in already? Is this for the first batch? I was told if you want employee price you're going to have to wait an extra 2-3months.
4)Are they building SS's before V6's or anything like that does anyone know? Do they build in order of how the dealer submits them? Or how does the production actually work?
5)Is there a reason why I am so obsessed with this camaro?! =)

Nice answers. Which sound exactly like what the dealer is telling me.
WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING YET...seems to be the basic consensus.

1.) First sold order will not arrive until May 6th, along with the dealers floor model V6.

1. First car or 2. I don't know where this May 6'th date came from but there's no way they can coordinate to have all the cars show up on the same day.
2. Pricing is available for dealers on https://www.gmpricing.com/
3. Discounted pricing is up to the dealer. They don't have to accept it if they don't want to. GM has stated that all discounts will be available from their end from day 1
4. They are building V8s along side v6s. But, the first month or so of v6s will be dedicated to the "one car per dealer" program and not customer sold orders. Order of build is rather complicated. Ask your dealer to look up their target production week for their first sold order(s). It's available in dealer world.
5. yes

May 6th comes from three dealer in three different states telling me that their GM Rep's told all three of them, the "GM Big Reveal" will be on the first Wed. in May (May 6th). Dealers V6, along with the first "sold order" V8!!! One line at the plant builds V6's (dealers floor model = all V6's), the other line builds V8's (first sold orders = SRE/all V8's).

Yea, they're doing some sort of reveal event but if a dealer gets a sold order before then, why would they not give it to their customer? And I bet dealers will be selling their v6 car before the date if the right offer comes along. GM is trying to revive a thing of the past when they would have big reveal events simultaneously nationwide. They would have crowds at dealers waiting to see the new car. But the pervasiveness of TV and the internet has made this entirely obsolete.

All dealerships will get their V6 (floor model) & their first "sold order" V8 at the same time. Dealerships will be instructed to put the cars out of site until the "GM Big Reveal". They should get them in before May 6th, but that is the big day. The time line works, it is about 45 days to your local dealer from March 16 to May 6th = 52 day (week cushion).

No dealer would ever do that. They'll be showing the first car off immediately after receiving it. The first sold orders should be arriving mid-April. At this point GM should be doing everything possible to get these cars out as fast as possible. Patience for this car and their business in general is waning - time for them to step the fck up.

Yeah, how many dealers are going to say, "Yes GM, whatever you want GM, of course I'll hide the cars GM." More like, "F you GM, I wanna sell cars!" Time will tell, but he'd play hell hidding mine from me!!!!!!

The cars still belong to GM/dealership until you sign on the dotted line, and they determine when it gets there and when you sign. I am not saying it will be at your dealers for days on end, the two cars will come in and the "GM Big Reveal" will take place and you drive away all happy. Time will tell!
