WIN @ CCR AutoX 8/19

Long story short. 1st of 8 in Rookie Class. Also would've won AS over 6 others (Beat a good driver in a 2018 M4 by 2 full seconds). 44th PAX and 55th RAW out of 236 cars. All that on OEM Goodyear Supercar 3's with nearly 12,000 miles on them!

My fastest lap: (59.661)

A-Street Results:

1. '15 Vette Z51 (60.444)
2. '11 Vette Grand Sport (60.568)
3. '05 Aston Martin DB9 (61.114)
4. '18 BMW M4 (61.715)
5. '06 Vette C6 (63.107)
6. '06 Vette C6 (68.705)

.819 Pax, that's the blanket AS Pax for SCCA, I see nothing wrong here!

Just some unique classing in that region I haven't seen before and certainly aren't at Nats.

If you are referring to the Pro Street Tire and Pro Race Tire, they are both PAX classes we run so that our Nationals level competitors can compete against each other instead of crushing the souls of the rest of us mere mortal drivers. Our top 20ish in PAX are legit national level competitors with 4 Jackets won in 2016 and at least 12 trophy finishes. We have a very tough field of drivers in our region mostly due to the fantastic venue we have at zMax Arena that attracts everyone from NC, SC, VA, TN, and GA. If we didn't keep these guys separate the rest of us would just figure why bother and not even show up. mjk3888 finished within the top 20% this weekend which is more impressive than his first place in AS. (turn off the damn nannies, it's time to take the training wheels off my friend!)

I know! I know! I will I just had a lot of catching up to do and my throttle control wasn't good enough on these old tires.

It's great advice...You may spend the 1st run or two with the front end pointed in the wrong direction, but by the end of the event, you will wonder why you ever competed with them on!

I progressively picked up a second on same day/same course, going from Sport 1 - Sport 2 - off.

The 'Pro' series I get...that's the same as 'X'. It was some of the others (Rookie, Masters) I had not seen before and wondered what they were for.

Have fun out there!

I am just saying it's something you have to work on, and the nannies are masking bad habits which will be harder to break the longer you rely on them to keep you fast. The damn nannies on the 6th Gen 1LE are pretty damn good, probably on the same level if not better than the ones on the GTR, so I understand their addictiveness.

Oh those! Masters is for the older guys who have lost a step but are still great drivers. Rookie is an extension of our novice program in CCR. Each event we allow newer drivers to sign up in our novice class and provide them with instructors and an extra run to help them along. (its super popular we had almost 40 novices at our last event) As an encouragement for them to improve and to ease them into regular competition at the end of the season we start our "Rookie" class where anyone who has been a novice and has attended at least 3 events in that season can run as Rookie and we PAX them with all of the other Rookies with a nice trophy at the end of the season. After the season is over they "graduate" to regular classing and competition.

I would love it if you could make it up to zMax with us some day and check out our venue, it is fantastic especially if you can make it for one of our 2 day events.

Oh believe me I know it is. I should upload the 2nd run video. I was all over the place and even hit the wipers. HAHA! Truth be told. I've totally bought into that race mode will make even pro drivers a touch faster, but mostly I was trying to swipe that prize money from you. LOL! At least the 1LE's ruled the Tent for the weekend! By the way where's the footage from your monster lap?

For those who aren't aware John (Egon) out PAX'd me and the rest of our "Tent Crew" with a killer lap in his F-Street 5th Gen 1LE. However I had the fastest RAW time of the group. Small victories

That's what I hear. I had a chance to meet and compete with Jon Nwanagu down at the Ft Myers ProSolo and he spoke very highly of zMax.

I grew up in Charlotte, so I have an excuse to come back and visit.
