Best intake without tune?
Wondering if any other fellow 1LE owners have installed and intake WITHOUT a tune.
Chime in with what you've got and your thoughts as far as fit, finish, noticeable performance increase, driveability concerns, etc. |

I bought Cold Air Inductions Inc intake...fit and finish was great and looks nice. No CEL and ended keeping it when I put the Maggie on.

Yeah, no knock, little temp climb, ease of install, fitment & looks, and hp gain

Yep CAI is pretty much #1 in performance. Roto-Fab is a great system as well and a bit more cost effective. The spread sheet shows the old design but has since been improved upon.
We do have some good specials going. Feel free to call, PM or email me for details. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

After looking at the chart and searching the forums I went with a CAI intake from Apex Chase. Appearance wise, I don't believe the other intakes have anything on it..
I installed it last Saturday and am satisfied with it. Super easy install and detailed, near dummy proof, instructions.. I found it easier than installing the catch can.. Didn't notice as much of a difference, performance wise, as people on here claim, although there was a difference... maybe I was expecting too much after reading rave reviews.. maybe it'll wake up when I get around to installing the scoop and washer relocate... anyway, I think its worth it from the mpg differences alone.. used to average 16 mpg with spirited driving.. now it sits around 18-19.. but who knows how accurate the computer is.. ill find out what it actually is when I make my trip to NY in sepember |

I am looking to possibly add the CAI to my Camaro but was wondering if they have an oil free filter. My last car was a 2012 Mustang GT and I could never get the filter oiled right on the C & L CAI. The car would constantly die on me. I ended up having to remove it.

Anyone know yet if any of these (current) aftermarket intakes are going to fit the 2014s?
