It's going to be alright. Think positive thoughts, you are not racking up miles on it. Go out and pop the hood and do a little detailing under the hood if it's in a garage and not too cold. That will make you feel better.

Haven't driven mine since the beginning of October, it's a long cold winter up here and by the end it will be like driving a brand new car.

I had to pull mine out of the garage Sunday so I could put away Christmas decorations and change the oil in the wifes flex. Then I parked it again. That is it over the past three weeks. Snowed last night so I am at least a week or two so I feel your pain.

Hasn't kept me from ordering stuff. Items in the garage waiting for a warmer day...

Hardrock, if you lived in Northwestern MN I would help you with your withdrawals and come and pick you up and take you for a ride. My car isn't scared of the salt and snow. But unfortunately you live on the upper east coast so I guess I can't help you at all. Sorry!

Dean.

It is hard on any car, not just your Camaro.
If you can't get all of the fluids up to operating temps, then you are better off just letting it set.
This includes fluids in the engine, transmission, and rear differential.

Just sitting in your driveway or garage and letting it warm up will not get everything up to full operating temps.

Read more in this thread, although I think some don't believe it.

Sure it is harder on them , But it doesnt harm them , You certainly wouldnt want to redline the cars or shift hard , but when the temps fall just take it easy and the car will be fine, I drove mine last year when it was 25 below zero. It just moans a little when you first start it , Like my old dog when i send him outside to use the yard .

Maybe he can sit in his car and go thru the motions. Maybe build a model car? Look for Mods, Just walk over to her slowly and caress her headlights?

That isn't what he was asking at all.
I drive mine all winter too.
My Corvette is in the garage though. I won't start it unless I plan on driving it for several miles.

My comment was directed at those that want to just start their car in the driveway or garage and let it warm up for a few minutes every so often.

Unless your going to drive the car for several miles (and get all the fluids properly warmed up to normal operating temps), then your better off just letting it set.
You are doing more harm than good.

Now, as you said it is perfectly safe to drive in very cold temps.
Just take it easy for the first few minutes until the fluid temps start to come up.
And make sure you drive it long enough to get all the fluids to normal operating temps.
