WAKEBOARD RACK FOR MY CAMARO
So I do a lot of wakeboarding and I did not want to put a wet wakeboard in my Camaros leather interior, so my buddy and I came up with this rack, removes from the trunk lid with 2 pins (1 per side) and all that is left is a small plastic base and 2 knurled bolt heads per side... What do you guys think....
Whats left after you take the rack off... The rack itself with the single pin that holds it on the car, I just got back from Chattanooga, TN, I live in Northern Indiana, and highway bombed the entire trip, 75+ most of the time, not a single hiccup in this system.. Oh by the way the Original trunk lid was not harmed in this project, I bought a used one from a car salvage yard, painted this one to match, the original is tucked away in my garage... |

Almost looks like a crazy spoiler when you've got it on the car. Looks like you did the best you could do.

very inventive ill give you that. But, personally instead of buying a trunk from a scrap yard and painting it, I would just wipe off the wake board wrap it in a towel or blanket and throw it in the back seat, or passengers seat. But, thats just me. But, like i said very inventive, and unique design you have there. props for that.

I thought about doing the wiping off method, but I forgot to state that it barely fits in the car, my board is nearly 5' long... and then there is zero room for a passenger..
I was kind of going for the spoiler look... Thank you... |

What about your dripping wet bindings and taking bindings on and off everytime seems like a huge pain to a fellow wakeboarder

yeah, kind of a pain but not too bad, I keep those in a tub in the trunk, and I have made labels for my bindings as to where each of them is located, plus it allows me the chance to inspect my binding hardware, since I am on my 5th set of the little nuts that hold the bindings to the board, this year....
