Any interest in swapping Black Hood Insert for Exposed Carbon Fiber one?

Or where I can buy the ECF hood insert?

You will be able to get the exposed carbon fiber insert from your dealer eventually. I do not think they can order them yet.

I was originally supposed to have exposed carbon fiber insert and was forced to switch to painted in order to maintain my allocation. WHen I was forced to switch, I discussed it with my dealer and they agreed to offer me the exposed carbon fiber insert (when available) at thier cost.

Granted that will be above the $600 option cost but it was a choice I made at the time to keep my order "live".

I suggest you talk to your dealer and see if they will make you a similar offer, particularly now that GM is crediting back the $600 option cost for ECF.

My 2 cents....

There were a few people that were forced to give up the B92 option to keep their order going. It should not be too hard to find someone to swap with. But.... you might want to look at the ECF hood on your car first before you give it away. It might look better than you think. Good luck.

I'm actually happy that the carbon fiber insert will not be installed on my order, as I plan to have the hood insert painted white along with the trunck stripe! I like the inferno orange with white as opposed to black stripes!!

Sitting at 3400 as of 4/2/12, so hoping I will make the 2012 order run!!

I have two customers who wanted the ECF and had to give them up in order to keep their orders "live". I checked on the availablity in our parts department and at this point the MSRP for this is 2500. Cost is around 1500. I hope GM will step up and help out the customers who in good faith gave up the option they wanted so they could keep their cars coming. It has become a slap in the face sort of speak when the rest of the ECF hoods now come with the $600 Credit. If anyone would like to swap...PM me.
