Adam's Detailed: '05 Dodge Viper Ram Quad Cab

Here's another job completed by our man Chase.

This client just bought this truck and contacted me to get it "proper", via one of my good friends referring him! It's always nice when you have friends backing you up! The client knew it was a low-mileage, well-kept truck, but he was also aware that the previous owner had no clue how to care for the paint, so he was honest about the swirls.....but after getting under critical lighting, they were worse than anticipated. I knew this would be a 2-day project for sure!! Truck had 62k miles on it, truck arrived very clean, here was my plan of attack:

I wanted to hit the trim with APC & SVRT, but simply, just ran out of time!!! Polishing this beast took forever!!! We also removed the windshield decal, removed the window vent visors, and debadged the "Ram" portion of the logos on the doors. On to the pics, here's she is upon arrival:

Got the wheels cleaned up....gawd I LOVE this tool....

Here's the paint after wash & clay, toooons of defects, heavy marring, horrific swirling...

Got all the adhesive & residue off from behind the Ram emblems (these were the hardest I've EVER encountered), all that's left after this point, is to polish. But a picture like this might make most people "freak out" lol.

Here's some 50/50 shots during polishing:

Had to call in my buddy Vince for a couple hours JUST to get caught up. With the fyasko of the incredibly stubborn debadging, and the intense level of swirls in this paint, I was running behind. He took care of wheels, tires, undercarriage, and used the Metabo 4" to get in all the small areas. This way I could just focus on the big panels.

Started seeing some redemption...

Got my favorite rubber/plastic nourishment out, and went to town!

Loved on the glass with this streak-free combo:

Gave the door jambs plenty of "sexy" with Adam's Detail Spray and one of my "dirty job" towels:

After pics of the finessed interior:

Gave this girl some SOLID protection and PLENTY of wet shine with this stellar combo!

And here's how she came out!!

Disclaimer: We're very aware of the slight discoloration in the paint when the emblems were removed. They were saved for future re-installation if necessary, but he may have other plans.

Thanks for looking!! If you have any questions, feel free to holler!!!

Strange no one has commented, but anyway...great work man! I have an 03 Ram...not an SRT10, just a regular 4.7L SLT...but the black paint is so swirled after 10 years it's ridiculous. Anyway...looks awesome!

The Deep Wheel Cleaner is safe for all wheels as long as you:
  • Use them on a cool wheel
  • Don't allow the product to dry on the wheel
It's great for removing heavy brake dust contamination. The Green Wheel Cleaner is more of a maintenance-type wheel cleaner. Still highly effective at cleaning, but not as strong as the DWC.

Great job. I love those trucks, but those tail lights make me want to punch a baby!

I know u do these (post on a forum) with the intention of promoting Adams products but why do you shy away from posting all products used to get the results you got. I think most of us are on here to share and learn from each other and truthfully you couldn't of gotten the result you got just with Adams products.. Great results by the way.

I have a dodge diesel, and I have to say these things swirl VERY easy. Looks great, love these hoods too, just wish the ram air actually worked on mine.
