oil leak

I have been noticing oil on the ground by where i have been parking. i was thinking that it has been other cars but noticed a fresh pile this morning. i thought that i had read that the 6.2 had a habit of loosing a gasket and leaking oil. Has anyone else had this issue or heard of it? going into a dealership this afternoon.

Tough to address without more information, however, my 2010 SS (6 speed manual) had an oil leak in the rear main seal. I only noticed a small drip on the street, but once it got up on the lift there was oil everywhere. About 2 quarts had leaked and the undercarriage was saturated. Luckily it was covered under my warranty because the dealer had to pull out the entire power train to fix it. It was in the shop for about 3 days and they charged back GM almost $2K to fix it. Best of luck!

I have been in to my dealer for an oil leak 2x and both times the stock filter was defective. This has been 2 out of 4 oil changes where this has happened.

I'll add to the AC Delco filter leak count.

took it to the dealership They looked and could not find any leaks. i had them change the oil and filter(she was due for one anyways). hopefully there was nothing but it wouldn't be the first time that we've had a vehicle leak oil and the dealership didnt find anything. ill just keep and eye on her
