I already have a deposit on the first one to be ordered when they come out. Yes, I'd sell my 2010 SS for a Z.

i like the z28 but i love my SS. See the difference. I can add power to my ss and it can compete with any z28 they will ever make.

If I had an SS, or were to get impatient and get one before Z28 came out, I'd say no. I think I could build a car, like Hennessey or Lingenfelter, for example, out of SS to be better in total performance than what I hope a Z28 will be. I think, for a little less than $50K, I could do it. Now, it won't have a warranty, and I wouldn't have the same sort of confidence with that car as I would with Z28 to last past 100K miles, but I don't really plan on DD'ing it anyways, so that point is almost moot. There are just things that GM will think of that the aftermarket might not completely address - that's all...

I would agree, but they better do some tweaking to the LSA is they want to have bragging rights in the power output though and they better find a way to put the car on a diet. The 2011 GT500, let alone a 2012, is going to shed about 150-200lbs over the current 2010 model and without a power steering pump, parasitic drag is going to be reduced, as well. That alone could likely allow the current 5.4 engine achieve around 10-15hp at the crank over the 540hp it makes now.

I still think the LSA would have better torque, however, so even if they ended up with the same 556hp, the additional torque of the LSA would probaby be offset by the lighter weight of the GT500. Shed a couple of hundred pounds of the Camaro though.....

I was a little disappointed when I ordered the 2SS last spring, that there was no Z/28 version. I would have bought it then hands down. So, yes. When and If they release the Z/28. I will buy it.
