stereo plastic fogging

The clear plastic appears to be fogging and looking spotty. Not a huge issue I guess.
Anyone else?

I had that problem and figured out it was caused by a leaking heart core depositing water all over my floorboards, which I didn't discover until I drove the car barefooted one fine day.

If your heater core is leaking, it will cause your face plate and the windows to fog. Check the carpet under the dash and up along the firewall. Check all over and see if it is damp. If it is, you probably have a heater core leaking. If it's just slight right now, you may not notice it on the windows right away.

It has to be something else if they are fogging behind the plastic. Coolant would cause it to fog on the face. Are you guys spraying on the screen then wiping? Couldn't imagine that though because these things scratch so easy. Hmmmm....

They suggested it was too much use of Armor All and it could have ran behind the plastic.
I'm not buying it since I don't spray it on, I wipe it on lightly and only once a month because its so dusty here in west Texas.

I have noticed what I think is out-gassing of the interior on the inside of my windows too. A couple times its looked like Bob Marley and his band spent a weekend in there.

Hmmm...I wonder if that could happen. You haven't found any evidence of heater core leak or anything? If not, they could possibly have something there. Would be nice to hear from others to see if they are using Armor All or similar on their interiors.

Well it got replaced.

Took one week for the OK to go through and they'd installed in forty minutes. Really obvious from the old to the new once its in the sun. GM came through.
