Did the Lowes 2-part epoxy 7 years ago and it's still is perfect however be sure if you or anyone else pick-up cans with the SAME LOT NUMBER as one of my three cans was a shade off the other two.........had to repaint that section. Otherwise specles and all are perfect.

A friend of mine redid his garage with racedeck as his epoxy lifted after two years.

I like the rubber tile idea more, that's something I will investigate. Wife also mentioned the Costco stuff, I've not seen it, I will poke around. So the rubber tile stuff could be $300-500 per spot, so for tight 3 car, maybe $1200-1500?

If you opt to use a non-slick rubber type tile, just remember not to turn your wheels at all on the tiles. With the plastic RaceDeck tiles, you stand a better chance of not popping out an entire section of tiles because the tires will actually rotate on the plastic, for the most part. With a rubber type tile, the tire and the tile will kind of stick together a bit and turning the wheels will likely twist the tiles out and damage the attachment points between the tiles.

I know the perfect thing! Got some a while back. Rubber Tiles are well your best option? Take a looK.

Anybody try the Griots Stuff??

I've used Rustoleum, Baer, Sherwin Williams, and about to pull the trigger on some UCoat it until I got my catalog from Griots today.

Reviews say its great.

I like the house garage to have a great floor too, but for some reason, nothing lasts like an industrial coating.

Thoughts

^^ I had Racedeck at a different place and if you don't try to lift more than a Motorcycle, you're good to go.

I didn't have any luck with it and provided, its great to look at, it's not for the operational/always doing projects in the Garage type DIYer.

Gladiator Garageworks

Not just because we sell it, but because it's a great product. We had Gladiator boxes and flooring in our shop long before we started selling it.

No problems with jacking cars or trucks on this stuff, load rating is nuts, and lifetime warranty.

My next door neighbor did epoxy 1.5-2 years ago, and it's already coming off. I just noticed that.

I had a pilot line I ran epoxy coated The real trick is to thoroughly clean the floor, and repair any places the concrete might spall. Also any oil spots ought to be cleaned with TSSP and then muriatic acid etched.

Finally during application, some small amount of glycol ethers will help the epoxy to level perfectly. Also you need to apply in the summer, or plan on allowing 3 days if you've got cool weather.

For those garages with serious damage, go to DIY websites and spend a few nights preparing the floor. I did all of this on mine, and applied the last 10 gallons of epoxy we never used on my lab floor. Came out beautiful, with about an 1/8 " build on a large 3 car garage.

Part of the final treatment is about 3 gallons of clear that are used to deal the white and blue plastic specks under a clear coat.
