June 23rd Car Show In Dover Delaware

The Best Buy in Dover is hosting their 6th Annual Geek Squad Street Tour at 1165 North DuPont Highway on June 23rd from 11:00 - 3:00. This year, all proceeds will be going to Operation: Homefront Delaware, a local non-profit whose mission is to provide emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

Had 7-8 Camor5'ers out last year, hope to see more this year!

As in years past, a registration fee will not be collected but Operation: Homefront Delaware staff will be manning the registration table to take donations.

All years, makes, models, and clubs welcome. Last year we had cars from America, Europe, and Asia.

Trophy categories are as follows with runner-ups being awarded in each:
Best in Show
Best Sound System
Cleanest Whip
Most Unique
Best Import
Best American Muscle

There will also be raffles with all proceeds again going to Operation: Homefront Delaware.

The brand new Grotto’s Pizza will be open and we are working with them to have a portion of all the days sales be donated to Operation: Homefront Delaware.

Sounds like a nice event. I can tell you that this is a busy weekend for shows. I know there is a Camaro Nationals show in Maryland that weekend and the Carlisle GM Nationals in Pa.

Its a very nice event.......BUT OMG I am going to miss it again this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats the weekend of the FireFly concert in Dover.........UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't get off work DPD is mandatory for that weekend.............no vacations allowed.

I will talk to BBY to see if moving it is a possibility. That would suck a large part of the crowd out as last year I think 1/3 of the show was GM/Chevy. It's a great little event (and growing) with a great cause.

I think we're going to keep it right where it is for now. It's a small show and usually draws a local crowd (that may not want to drive as far for the big shows). Also, fewer people an more trophies than last year increase the chances of winning

Well, thanks for the thought...............last year the concert was a month later in July.....figures they would change it and screw me up. . NASCAR changed to the weekend of the Riverfront show and eliminated me from that one......geez. someone doesn't want me to attend any local show.... guess thats life for DPD....oh well. I am daywork for that weekend, so I will attempt to make an appearance over there....as long as you will let me in in the police car. Plus, I will add this to our upcoming events section on 1st State....we'll see if thats gets some attention there too.

I would do this show if it was on Saturday instead of a Sunday, right now I don't think I can make this one. However if my plans change I will try to make the drive.
