Installing Powder Coated Calipers 14' SS

Hello,
getting some powder coated calipers, My car has 9k miles. I am either going to re-use my OEM rotors and pads or buy slotted/drilled w/new pads (I don't track my car). I am also upgrading to SS brake lines. If I use existing rotors/pads, what if anything do I need to do to them before re-assembly and after?

Thanks!
Dan

Just clean everything up with brake parts cleaner, and reassemble it. New calipers should work just fine with your existing used rotors and pads, provided they are in good working order. I have new slotted R1 Concepts rotors to install, and may use my old pads if they have sufficient material left.

As long at your rotors are not grooved, have a seriously lip at the top or bottom, or warped there is no need to do more that what Oldudesrule mentioned. Scuff with some fine grit sandpaper (rotors and pads), clean, and grease! As for the SS lines. Having a rubber mallet helps when bleeding. Light taps on the caliper help air bubbles rise to the top and thus out the bleeders. If memory serves correctly it is INNER then OUTER bleeder. Farthest caliper to closet to the master cylinder.

Thank You! So if I do the sanding/greasing, I will have to re bed the pads correct?
