Will The Z28 Be as Powerful as The SS?
Now I know that no car of Chevy has ever matched the SS performance edition package.
Just something about the hype of the Z28 and how they are going to put it on the market and GM's ideas for it seem like it will be the first ever Z28 to compete fully with a SS model......And for some odd reason I kind of want that. I think the Z28 deserves that Respect, even if it is for one or two model years.... BUT PLEASE! Let me know what you think or if you have numbers to correct me! Thanks everyone! Have a Great Fourth of July! PEACE! p.s. if anyone has a new camaro the would like to give away for free...please PM me....I will take the burden of your hands. |

ZL1> Z28 > SS. Always has been. Period. And yes it will be more powerful.

There have been times where the z/28 was the top tier Camaro, and in the first gen(1967-1969) it's debateable which was the better car.
The new z/28 WILL be more powerful than the SS and will compete with the GT500 |

I think Fbodfather has been very clear that the Z28 that GM is planning will be a higher performing car than the SS. I suspect we will see more HP and some suspension upgrades, most likely from the CTS-V parts bin.

I think it would be too early to speculate on pricing

What area do you think the GT500 is lacking in? From a performance standpoint it's a very impressive car...

You can throw money into your SS and make it perform like a GT500 or even the Z/28. But it's still not a GT500 or a Z/28. So just be happy with your SS. It's a living legend already!
