Palmer, If you look at what collectors pay the highest dollars for, in many cases it's cars built for racing and usually those with a successful racing pedigree. Modern day COPO's, Cobra Jets and Drag Paks will all have a high net worth. We've already seen some go for big coin off the auction block at Barrett and Mecum.

Sure, Nick. I understand these are certainly "collectables" right now and the really rare ones (like #1 of 69 COPOs built) already command a fortune on the auction block. I guess I just have my own idea of a "classic" vs. a "collectable". Great cars though, either way.

I also realize that any car between 25 and 39 years old can technically be considered a "classic" - at least for registration and insurance purposes.

I would imagine so. He bought the first 2014 production Stingray for $1.1M and the first 2014 Stingray convertible for $1M. The man is definitely a "collector" and a fan of Chevys.

He also takes the first and low numbers cars and adds His performance stuff to them and wipes out the prestige of the first production model. At times I feel he's got bucks with no brains.
