Great, now make it all one color, change the front bumper or grill, get rid of the fender stripes, give it an LS7, add real full length Z28 stripes, and actually call it Z28!

I would like to see a set of Recaro front seats and cloth interior. A/C and power windows aren't going anywhere. The entire A/C system is about 25 lbs. and power windows are actually lighter than manual. Recaro's would drop some weight, take out some sound deadening and insulation, I'm sure MR doesn't add that much weight. I would like to see a factory CAI, freer flowing manifolds and the ZL1 beefed up diff and axles with a 3.73 gear. There's an easy way to bump the HP to 350 and drop weight to just under 3800 lbs. I would put a deposit down today.

I don't get the leather seats with out the 4 pack gauges. I would have done the exact opposite.

damn right...look at the original Grand Sport models

This thing is basically the ZL1 without the supercharged LSA motor...if they price it $10k under the ZL1 (assuming the ZL1 MSRP is $55k) I would say these things would EASILY be selling like hot cakes. Personally, I want a ZL1 and if things work out financially I will be a happy camper but if not, buying this as an alternative would still make me a happy camper

+1 on the wheels... yea make it a 475hp LS3 or LS7, swap out the front engine cradel for a aluminum one. ditch a couple more heavy steel parts for aluminum, carbon fiber hood make it 3700lb or less and I will trade my 2ss in on it... I want a midnight blue

actuall now that I think about it... I would like what I said above, how ever I am so sick of all the ford guys saying' look what ford can do with just 5.0 liters. GM has to have 6.2 leters and still gets out run... How about this for a motor. A dual over head cam 6.2 leter 550 hp screamer.... thats were the 5.0 gits its getty up is it not..??? I think they are dual over head cam.. I know the gt500 is.. I think, dont quote me on this, 283cc engine or around that with a supercharger...

I'd like to see a carbon fiber hood if they're going to make the hood black. Also a different grille would have been nice. Other than that looks great.

Also lose the electric power steering. It sucks. GM has already proven that in multiple failed attempts.

I know many people like all their pretty and comfy internals, but one can't have everything... Is it too much to ask to have a "Stripper Z" again?
Yes, with "modern" assembly lines, any stoppage cost money. To schedule cars that are not like the normal "all-inclusive" packages slows things down (just like order a hamburger w/o cheese at a fast food joint). Luckily Burger King & McD's don't charge extra -yet!

Do you understand how it works?
You remove things like pwer windows and power seats, they're going to have to use other part like manual windows and seat levers to replace them. Items that are currently not in the parts bin.
Hence = added cost.

Hey, I'm all for GM making as many Camaros as people will buy, but I would like to see more HP... that would help me over look that fugly wheel when it comes time to order one

Cool car for the track people, but how about a street/drag race car?
Take the SS, beef up the drivetrain to handle the 580 Supercharged HP motor and not worry about the track handling suspension. The SS suspension already exceeds my driving abilities. I just want to go 170+ mph in a straight line and under 12 seconds in the quarter mile. All in legal events of course.

I know the ZL1 has the hp, the top speed, the quarter mile time and more that I want. In fact, I am hoping to get one but based on the rumors of the price, my hopes are looking more like wishes than reality coming true. However, if I could get the parts that I want, and lose some that I will never use, I can better afford my dreams. Maybe Chevy will let me order a 2SS with an optional supercharged engine?
Regardless of what happens, I think it is great that Chevrolet is producing these cars that are so fantastic, that it drives us nuts trying to figure out which one we will actually purchase.
