Camaro vs Corvette?
I was at my dealer yesterday getting my truck serviced and was told by the srevice department that the Camaro out performed the Corvette. So I asked the Base Vette and they tried to tell me that the LS3 will outperform all Vettes, Kinda sounded strange to me, Make me wonder about the service department, I love the Camaro but in no way think it will out perform a Vette especially a ZO6. What do you all think?

A new vette should outperform any stock 2010 camaro. That's what they're built for.

By the way did you ask him what engine was in the corvettes i do believe its the LS3 kinda hard to outperform ones self in a superior car. i'm talkin regualr vettes of course ZO6 is LS7 and ZR1 is in a whole other league of its own above even a ZO6.

I forgot to mention Vettes are smaller and lighter and handle better. You sure it wasn't a ford employee masquarading as a chevy guy.

I have a LS2 Corvette that i am trading for the LS3 Camaro. I am hoping for close at best...
I HIGHLY doubt the LS3 will even out perform my LS2. I guess there is only one way to find out...

Not sure exactly what type of vette but newer one also convertible which makes it heavier but saw it race 2SS on you tube and 2SS jumped it by 2 cars off line then ended up beating it by car and half. So dont know if Camaro that much faster or vette driver just dont know how to drive. But my dealer told me the 2SS outrun reg Vette but it didnt have anything on the Z06. Then again you cant believe anything a car salesmen tells you especially when your buying a car from them.

All base corvettes come with LS3's and they weigh about 450-500 pounds less than a 5th Gen SS. Do the math. Z06's come with LS7's (427 CI) and run mid to lower 11's stock. Guy did not know what he was talking about at all. By the way I don't even like vettes but these are the facts.

Vette's are not designed to drag race. Ask anyone who tried and blew up their transaxle.
